Thanks. We Filipinos who joined the diaspora to the West often miss the open markets, with their proliferation of oriental vegetables (pechay, malunggay) and fruits (santol, chesa, durian, caimito, mangosteen, atis) and the stalls serving cooked native food (like pinapaitan, dinuguan, kaldereta) and desserts (lumpia sa ibus, ginataan). I could not help taking photographs of the market because I miss not only the produce but also the atmosphere of the place.
